Maui 2016

We went to Maui in October with Grandma & Grandpa. It was absolutely beautiful!

Lena turned SEVEN!!!

Lena turned 7 in June and we had a fairy birthday party! Tinker Bell came and sang, did face painting, and even a magic show! Here are a few photos...

Lena turns SIX!

Lena turned 6 and we had a 'Frozen Lego' party at home with school friends, neighbors, and family. She also had a smaller celebration in class as well. We went to Disneyland and California Adventure the week prior to her birthday. It was a busy and fun week. Lena is growing up too fast! Here are a few of our favorite photos:

Holidays 2014

December 22 - 28, 2014
Twenty family members from the Gilk clan visited DisneyWorld, Orlando, Florida. We had a great time at Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom, Hollywood Studios, and Epcot. The most fun was just being there over the holidays with family - oh and yes, the matching shirts with our age and disney character name. Here are just a few photos from the trip!

Beijing - July 2014

We visited Beijing, China for a unique experience as 'surprise' guests on the CCTV show 'Waiting for Me'. We stayed at the Millennium Hotel Beijing which was beautiful and taped the show one afternoon after our arrival. The next few days we visited many sites including; Mutianyu Wall, Tian'anmen Square & Forbidden City, Temple of Heaven and Pearl Market. We had wonderful hosts and ate at the most amazing restaurants. Thank you CCTV, Jun Luo (teacher), and Ms. Zhou.

Lena turns FIVE!!!

We had two celebrations for Lena's 5th birthday. She chose to have an "Under the Sea" theme with mermaids and pirates. She had a great time at her home party with her family and neighborhood friends. We had a jumpy house, a treasure hunt, and a wonderful cake! Her school party at CMS was fantastic with her classmates and teachers. Thank you to everyone who helped make it so special!
